SIAD receives the 2023 Federchimica Responsible Care Award

SIAD has been awarded the Federchimica Responsible Care Award 2023 for the COOOL® - FreeToGo project.

The award was presented by Federchimica Chairman Paolo Lamberti to SIAD CEO Dr. Bernardo Sestini and Ing. Mattia Zoccoli, SIAD Project Manager, on the occasion of the presentation of the 29 Annual Responsible Care Report presented on 8 November in Milan.

Responsible Care is the Global Chemical Industry Voluntary Program, with which companies, through federations and national chemical associations, are committed to achieving values and behaviors of excellence, in the areas of safety, health and environment, to contribute to the sustainable development of the planet.

COOOL® FreeToGo: Innovation for sustainable delivery!

The SIAD Group has developed, patented and approved, an innovative refrigeration system for the road transport of products, food and pharmaceuticals, for which it is essential to maintain the cold chain. The system is based on the use of Biogenic CO2, or CO2 recovered from fermentation of organic material or biomass.
It is a simple and autonomous system: thanks to the slimming of the plant and the elimination of the compressor, it is independent from the traction of the vehicle, and is able to operate even with the engine off. The system is performant and silent, reduces electricity consumption and is compatible with multiple means of transport.
Starting from these assumptions and from the analysis of the market demands, where the delivery service has increased more and more, SIAD has grasped the need to develop a technology with low environmental impact, ensuring compliance with the cold chain.
